Really enjoyed this short. It's sporty and a bunch of fun. The only con was that it ended. I really would have liked to spend more time with Jen and Annie. Definitely recommend.
This was cute short read. Not too much depth but just enough to invest some in the characters. I liked it!
This was a nice light read. I enjoyed reading this story. The characters are great and I liked Jen and cheddar.
This is how novellas should be! It takes the shorter format and tells a whole story. K Aten manages to accomplish what many others struggle to do in the novella - she takes us from meeting the girl to the HEA without skipping any of the emotional development in between. Well done!
I’ve been intending to read a K Aten book and this one was on KU so I figured it was a good place to start.
My Life as Cheese is a short, simple story about a 34 year old self professed player who everybody loves and who loves everyone back, especially the cute gals on the softball fields and the local club. She’s got a nice job as an RN and no issues as far as was told so really, life is good for Anne “Cheddar” Vandercheddan.
Enter her good buddy’s cousin, Jen, who has her heart set on Anne no matter who warns her off, including Anne herself.
Reading this book felt like the equivalent of hanging out with good friends on your deck late at night while having a few drinks and listening to someone’s couple story. There’s a warm familiarity and plenty of smiles all the way around. Both mc’s are very likable and no angst, really. Just a really nice read.
I love this author’s voice already and am tempted to chuck my “next book to read” list and just move on to the next book I want to read written by her.

This is a fun, quick read. I enjoy stories best when I like the characters, and Anne and Jen seemed like girls I would like to hang out with. The colorful descriptions of their intimate moments certainly made the story even more enjoyable! The sex was hot. Read this book, you won't be disappointed!
